1 day trek Imi Oughlad and Ouirgane Atlas mountains: Marrakech is the perfect location to base yourself to make the most of the amazing landscapes and scenery of the mountains and valleys that can be seen in the distance. Better still you can base yourself in Imlil or one of the neighbouring villages and book your accommodation to be in Ouirgane at the end of your hike.

Transfer from Marrakech at 07 am by comfortable air conditioned minibus, 4×4 or local taxi to the village of Imi Oughlad or Tagadirt n´Ait Ali as the start point of this day trek. If you are staying in Imlil or a nearby village, we will organise the transfer at 08 am. The trip from Marrakech takes you through verdant valleys and Berber Villages, market towns and lush landscapes full of seasonal fruit trees, surrounded by the superb panoramic views of the peaks of the High Atlas Mountains. Once in Imi Oughlad, we pack up our lunch and water on a mule and set off up the trail through juniper woodlands to reach the adobe traditional village of Tinzert where we stop for a picnic lunch. Rested, we cross the valley and hike down the other side of the valley passing terraced wheat-fields, villages and diverse mineral rich mountain slopes. We reach the lakeside of Ouirgane in the late afternoon where you can either stay locally or take the transport back to Marrakech. Trek time is approximately 7 hours.
