Day 1Marrakech - Imlil - Azzaden valley - Tamsoult refuge
After transfering from Marrakech to Imlil (1780m), you will set off on a 6 hour trek out of the Imlil Valley and into the Azzaden Valley. Along the way you will pass Tizi n’Mzik at 2450m, the refuge at Azib n’Tansoult and the Ighouliden waterfalls. Azib Tamsoult mountain refuge overnight.
Day 2Tamsoult refuge - Aguelzim pass (3650m) - Toubkal refuge
Fairly stiff climb out of the Azzaden Valley to the Toubkal refuge over the Aguelzim mountain pass at 3560 m. Lunch with spectacular views over the Atlas mountain range. Overnight in the Toubkal refuge (Neltner Hut 3207m) where you will likely share a bunk room with other trekkers.
Day 3Toubkal refuge - Toubkal summit - Imlil
Up early for the climb up Toubkal (4167 m) from where, clouds allowing, you will have wonderful views over the Atlas range and the Sahara desert. Then a long way back down past the refuge where a delicious lunch will be awaiting for you. This is a fairly long day with 8-9 hours of trekking, involving 900m up then almost 2,500 m back down to Imlil where you will spend the night in a very cozy riad.
Day 4Marrakech - Tizi n'Tichka - Ouarzazate - Dades valley - Dades Gorges
You will be picked up from your accommodation in Imlil at 8.00am and head out over the Atlas Mountains, driving over the stunning Tizi-n-Tichka mountain pass. You’ll pass through lots of Berber villages, and once you’re in the desert, you’ll see riverside oases and barren hillsides dotted with kasbahs (fortified dwellings that house families and their livestock).
Along the way, you will have the option either to take a break and visit the Ouarzazate Film Studios or stop for a hike. Once you reach Dades Gorge, you have the option of going for a hike, or relaxing at your hotel. Overnight in Dades. 6 to 7 hours drive with stops
Day 5Dades valley - Todra Gorge - Merzouga – camel ride to the desert camp
After breakfast you drive along the Dades Gorge up towards the highest point of it where you will take few photos of the canyon and the other series of the gorge then continue to Toudra Gorge - a massive fault dividing the High Atlas Mountains, rising up 300 meters in a narrow valley with palmeries and Berber villages.
Here, you can go for a hike to explore the palm groves, a green oasis full of large date palms. After lunch you’ll head further into the desert to the gateway town of Merzouga where you will meet with your camels near the dunes to take you for an enjoyable ride through the dunes which will involve a 30 minutes stop to witness a memorable sunset before you continue to your desert camp where you will enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner, and spend some time under the stars. 4 to 5 hours drive.

Day 6Camel ride from the Camp - Merzouga – Alnif - Tazarin – Draa valley – Agdez - Ouarzazate - Ait Benhaddou
Wake to a desert sunrise and then return to the Hotel by camel. You will then have a chance to freshen up and enjoy a breakfast. Once you are refreshed, you will head out of the desert for a drive to Ait Benhaddou, passing by several towns and across the Draa valley which considered as the longest river in morocco, it’s well known with its Date palm Oasis.
Along the valley you will have an opportunity to take several photos of the Agdez Oasis… Then you continue towards Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, an ancient fortified city/village containing countless kasbahs and has been the atmospheric subject of numerous Hollywood movies (The Mummy, Gladiator, Alexander, and Lawrence of Arabia...) you will have the chance to walk around the buildings and explore with your guide in the afternoon if you still got time, you can also extend your hike in order to discover the farm lands around the place along the Ounila valley.
You will overnight in a riad/hotel close to Ait Benhaddou Kasbah. 5 hours drive.
Day 7Ait Benhaddou – Ounila valley – Telouet Kasbah – Marrakech
Travel along the Ounilla Valley towards the Telouet Kasbah, a crumbling kasbah that was once an important stop for traders in the earlier time. Explore the Kasbah and then after lunch, you will head back over the Tizi-n-Tichka Pass to Marrakech. About 4 hours drive.
